This position is responsible for the management of roadway/highway and local public works infrastructure projects.
•Lead business development pursuits which includes proposal development and client meetings
•Lead project team for the schematic design and PS&E for roadway/highway and local public works infrastructure in accordance with TxDOT and local guidelines and standards
•Provide guidance and direction to project team for various design tasks within the scope of a project
•Meet with TxDOT; MPO’s; City; County and other project stakeholders to maintain effective relationships
•Develop project budget, scope and schedule; monitor quality and adherence to client criteria
•Bachelor of Science degree in civil or transportation engineering from an accredited college or university
•Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of Texas
•8 years’ experience in roadway schematic design and PS&E
•Proven ability to successfully manage project team(s) in the conception to completion of multiple and diverse projects
•Proficient in MS Excel and Word
•Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with all level of employees in an organization
•Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with project stakeholders
•High level of accuracy in work product
•Must be able to work from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime as needed to meet project deadlines
